I had the privilege of being a physician at Performance Orthopedics, Bingham Farms, MI, a Beaumont Hospital Orthopedic practice, 2013 through 2018.

I am a Board Certified, American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, surgeon that specializes in foot and ankle sports medicine, reconstructive and revision surgery of the foot and ankle.

I have been in practice for 22 years. I have worked with and trained residents throughout my career and continue to work with/teach residents at Corewell Health Royal Oak, where I am on staff. I am also on staff and perform surgery at Unasource Surgery Center in Troy, MI.

I have had the privilege of being asked to lecture at conferences and educational programs throughout the US on many topics in foot and ankle surgery through the years. I have held leadership positions on Committees and Boards for organizations and surgery centers throughout my professional career.

I have had the opportunity to treat athletes at all levels of competition, including NCAA Division I athletes. I have participated and continue to enjoy participating in sports.

I completed my undergraduate studies at Michigan State University then graduated from Dr. Wm Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, Chicago, IL in 1995. I completed my foot and ankle surgical training at Edgewater Medical Center in Chicago, serving as Chief Resident in my final year.

Ryan S. Ohlgart D.P.M., F.A.C.F.A.S.

After growing up locally in the metro Detroit area, I completed my undergraduate degree at Michigan State University.  I then graduated from Temple University  School of Podiatric Medicine.  My surgical residency was completed at the Detroit Medical Center where I served as Chief Resident during my final year.  

I am Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and perform surgery at Corewell Health Royal Oak and Unasource Surgery Center.  I continue to train and educate residents and lecture at conferences and workshops across the state. 

I enjoy treating complex foot and ankle conditions.  I would be honored to assist with any of your foot and ankle needs.

  • Trauma/fracture repair
  • Diabetic foot and limb salvage

In my free time I enjoy fishing, sports, family, and dogs.

 

Dr greg Gregory S. Sheremeta D.P.M., MPH, A.A.C.F.A.S.

Southeast Detroit perpetually will always be my “unofficial” home. After growing up in the Livonia area, I attended Eastern Michigan University to achieve my undergraduate degree in biology. I then went on to receive my Master’s degree in Public Health from Michigan State University. I achieved my podiatric medical degree from Des Moines University and completed my 3-year surgical residency at St Mary Mercy in Livonia, where I was chief resident during my final year.

I am board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle surgery and perform surgery at Unasource surgery center and Corewell Health Royal Oak.

I have an extensive surgical training in both forefoot and rearfoot pathologies but my specific interests include, 

  • Minimally Invasive Corrective Surgery
  • Trauma/Fracture Care
  • Diabetic Limb Salvage
  • Wound Care
  • Sports Medicine

I am an avid fishermen and carry a 100-ton Merchant Marine License by the United States Coast Guard. I carry this license to run sport fishing charters on Lake Michigan in my spare time. I also enjoy spending time with my wife, two kids, and our two dogs.

I am currently accepting new patients and look forward to treating all lower extremity pathologies! 


Our doctors' are members of the Corewell Health Royal Oak Medical Staff. They are Board Certified Podiatric Surgeons and Wound Specialists with special training in wound management.
