What we are doing at Heritage Dental Centre: (May 30, 2020)
- a) Five (5) point Comprehensive Screenings for all patients
- b) COVID-19 Screening for all staff twice daily
- c) Hand Hygiene stations with WHO/CDC approved sanitizers.
- d) Plexiglass barriers and Sealed dental rooms
- e) Social distance protocols and/or mask protocols to help minimizing traffic flow
- f) Multi-unit Hepa filters that filter out 99.7% pathogens in the air
- g) CDC guidelines PPE for the staff
- h) Multiple tested highpowered sterilization autoclaves that are tested as per regulatory requirements and manufacturers instructions. Tested after each load and IPAC compliant.
- i) Infrared thermomemeter patient and staff 2x per day
- j) Sanitation by a professional cleaning company using COVID-19 disinfectants
- k) High Volume Evacuation (removes 95% of aerosols at least)
- l) All patients are instructed to wear a mask in the office at all times (or one will provided)
- n) IQ AIR, swiss-made hyperhepa filtration unit with UV-C light disinfection that removes 99.97% of pathogens for operating room procedures
- p) All patients will be instructed to perform hand hygiene twice during their dental visit— once before entering the building and once at the end.
- q) Floor decals and wall signs mark social distancing, mask wearing and COVID-19 prevention information
- r) Office has been decluttered with furniture, chairs, décor, magazine, etc.. being removed
- s) We are working towards a “CONTACTLESS dental office experience” as much as possible.
- u) Working towards a paperless electronic records
- v) Surface disinfection schedule including bathrooms with COVID-19 specific supplies readily available (multiple times daily)
- w) Staff have been training comprehensively on PPE, and Infection Control protocols in the Dental office.
- x) All staff will have their own hand sanitizer, personalized keyboard/mouse.
- y) Staff and patient bathroom schedule to be cleaned after each use and sanitized.
- z) Limiting number of patients in the Operatory, having patients bring their own mask and pen from home (to help with the contactless experience), and try to use the bathroom at home to limit the bathroom use if possible. Patient bathroom will be immediately sanitized after each use.
