I take the responsibility of earning my patients’ trust very seriously. The precision of being a good dentist is a great challenge, but more important is the challenge to connect with my patients on a personal level, learning about their lives, and creating a treatment plan that is not only convenient but effective. I love being able to do something that few people can do – make a true difference in the lives of those around me. It makes me feel like a valuable and connected member of my community.
Education and Continuing Education
I began my formal education by earning a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Oregon before continuing on to dental school at Oregon Health Sciences University . After graduation, I joined the US Navy and served as a Navy Dental Officer for four years before setting up my private practice.
Continuing education is a great way to be able to offer patients a larger scope of appropriate treatment. With over 25 years of experience as a practicing dentist, I have undergone hundreds of hours of continuing education on a variety of general and specialized topics. In addition, I have been a mentor for multiple institutes and am currently an ambassador of education for Instradent and I lecture on implant placement and bone grafting techniques.

Outside the Office
A native of Grant Pass, OR, I currently reside in Scottsdale with my wife, Mary Ann, and our two cats, Ruby and Baldo. We’ve also been blessed with two sons, Scott and Ted. The best part of living in such a beautiful place is taking advantage of all the great outdoor activities it has to offer. When I’m not in the office, I love fly fishing and skiing, as well as playing my guitar.
