    Nicole Y. Salamy

    Nicole Y Salamy DMD is originally from Boston, MA. She went to Boston Latin School, the oldest high-school in the country. She furthered her studies at Boston University graduating with a degree in Human Physiology. She continued her studies at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 2000. While in dental school she published and presented her research at the Academy of Academic Research on “Bond strengths of resin bonding” and was the president of the ASDA, The American Student Dental Association.

    After school, she associated in Stoughton, MA for 13 years, dividing her time between Teamsters Care, treating the members and the families of Local Union 25, and at Kid Care Dental, where she was the general dentist on staff treating both adults and children. While at Kid Care Dental, she was trained in laser dentistry as well as sedation dentistry, soon to be offered at her new practice.

    Dr. Salamy has further enhanced her dental education by attending The Pankey Institute April 2012 and January 2013, located in Key Biscayne, FA. At the Pankey Institute, she completed two Essentials courses which focused on dental occlusion which is how the muscles of the face, the jaw joint and the teeth relate to each other. In May 2013, she attended a course at the Zimmer Institute in Carlsbad, CA, for restoring implants. Dr. Salamy was selected in 2012 to attend “The Leadership Institute” at the MDS, Massachusetts Dental Association. As one of the 16 dentists selected, she is learning how to become as effective a leader in the dental profession. This is a two year commitment.

    Dr. Salamy is a member of the following professional organizations: American Dental Association (ADA), Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS) and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).

    Dr. Salamy has three young children who also keep her very busy: Veronica, Gabrielle, and Richard. Kevin Bock, her husband, helps to maintain balance and order in her personal life.

    Dr. Salamy is supporting the Plainville community with sponsorship of two youth soccer teams, and providing children’s dental health education/enrichment to the kindergarten and preschool of the Anna Ware Jackson Elementary School.

    Dr. Salamy’s personal interests:

    • Past Chair of the Parent Advisory Council at Old Post Road School in Walpole.

    • Spending quality time with her family
