  • Dr.
    David N. Croop
    Doctor

    Cincinnati, OH Dentist
    Mt. Lookout Dentistry

I became interested in dentistry while undergoing several dental procedures as a teenager. As a result of those experiences, I have developed a unique practice style and philosophy. In the 34 years, I have been practicing dentistry, I enjoy the long-term relationships with many patients that I have cared for, some for the three decades I've been practicing. I am very interested in learning from continuing education opportunities. When I am out of the office, I enjoy teaching and advising colleagues in various study clubs, and working with the residents at The University Hospital of Cincinnati Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program.

I am a graduate of DePauw University and Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. Following graduation, I completed my General Practice Residency at St. Luke's Hospital Medical Center in Cleveland. More recently I completed a postdoctoral program at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education and the Xavier University XLAB entrepreneurial program. I am a member of the Cincinnati Dental Society, Ohio Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Seattle Study Club (a renowned international continuing education institution), and the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education Alumni Association. In addition, I have invented and developed several dental instruments and devices that will make dental visits easier for dentists and patients.

Outside of the dental office and the classroom, I enjoy spending time traveling, boating, water skiing, and kayaking with my wife and two sons. We also enjoy spending time with our adopted rescue dog.

  • Dr.
    Ben T. Gosnell
    Doctor

    Cincinnati, OH Dentist
    Mt. Lookout Dentistry

I was raised just south of Cincinnati in Union, KY. My wife and I live there now, raising our two daughters and spoiling one dog. I graduated from the University of Kentucky and then completed the 'Triangle' by attending the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Following graduation, I came home to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University Hospital in Cincinnati-where I met and worked with Dr. Croop. Like him, my philosophy of dentistry involves not just high-quality care, but building relationships. I really enjoy the opportunity to help improve not only the oral health but the overall well-being of my patients.

A well-balanced lifestyle is important to me. When away from dentistry, my wife and I enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family- including our dog, Hixon. I also like getting outside to camp and hike, and I try to stay active with exercise, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and basketball

  • Dr.
    Brenda Bertsch
    Doctor

    Cincinnati, OH Dentist
    Mt. Lookout Dentistry

Although a Kentucky native, I spent most of my career pursuing the many educational and professional opportunities that Ohio has to offer. I graduated from Xavier University and Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine, and completed my General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

In 1998, I earned a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. Together, my husband, Bob, and I built and nurtured our private practice in Loveland, Ohio for 28 years. It was our greatest pleasure to serve the community. We look forward to merging our philosophies and skills with our fellow dentists at Mt. Lookout Dentistry.

My passion to serve and honor the health of all people has compelled me to pursue a committed role in the field of dentistry. When I am not practicing privately, I am providing dental services to the people of Cincinnati in many different communities. I currently work part-time with CincySmiles for their Dental Road Crew. Through this program, we travel with an outfitted van to Head Start and Cincinnati Public Schools to provide dental care for low-income children.

I also provide needed services for the McMicken Health Collaboration Dental Options program. I am honored to serve the sisters of Mount Notre Dame de Namur in their health center and have had the great fortune to be a part of the team that opened and operates a free dental clinic through the Scarlet Oaks Adult Evening Education program.

Bob and I enjoy the company of our five children and a beautiful granddaughter—as far and as wide as they roam. Outside of dentistry, I pursue many interests including expanding my knowledge of nutrition, working for world peace, and appreciating this beautiful planet on which we live through an exploration of its communities, parks, and coffeehouses.

  • Dr.
    Bob Bertsch
    Doctor

    Cincinnati, OH Dentist
    Mt. Lookout Dentistry

While growing up in Reading, Ohio, I lived across the street from my dentist, Dr. Richard Matre. Because of this, Dr. Matre became a source of inspiration and was an excellent role model to a young Bob Bertsch, who was becoming increasingly interested in mechanical endeavors. Later on, I was able to incorporate that interest with a desire to work in health care in my pursuit of a career in dentistry.

I attended Xavier University and Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. After dental school, I completed a General Practice Residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. I subsequently earned a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.

My wife, Brenda, and I practiced in Loveland for 28 years and are thrilled to continue our work by joining Dr. Croop and Dr. Gosnell at Mt. Lookout Dentistry. I remain excited and intrigued by general dentistry because of its wide variations of practice and the chance to encounter a diversity of people. I am committed to sharing and furthering my knowledge, and am very appreciative of the opportunity to teach the residents at the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. I also serve on several non-profit boards to enrich and assist the community that has given so much to us.

My wife and I still enjoy our children who are all wonderful people, but especially our granddaughter (sorry kids!). I also find time for hiking, card playing and fixing anything mechanical.
