Dr. Michael Friend is a native to South Florida. Upon graduation from Hollywood Hills High School, his higher education studies began at the University of Florida. With fulfillment of his education requirements after three years at the University of Florida, Dr. Friend entered his dental training at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. After completion of dental school, Dr. Friend went on for further formal dental education and attended the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD), at Nova Southeastern University, North Miami Beach Medical Campus.
Dr. Friend considers himself a scholar, enjoying teaching as much as learning. He spent one year conducting research and teaching at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. Upon returning to South Florida, Dr. Friend was an adjunct professor at Broward College teaching anatomy/physiology lecture and laboratory series. After nearly ten years in clinical practice, Dr. Friend came to hold an adjunct faculty position in restorative dentistry at Nova Southeastern University, College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Friend is also a member for the Secondary School Committee for the University of Pennsylvania, conducting interviews for prospective incoming students. Additionally due to his extensive dental background, Dr. Friend has been contracted on numerous occasions as an expert for legal matters, providing independent medical examinations and narratives.
Dr. Friend is happily married to Hayley and the proud father of three amazing children. He enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and outdoor sports.
