Dr. Mike Allen practiced orthodontics for 45 years before retiring in 2014. He received his dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, and went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Orthodontics at Baylor.
Dr. Mike was president of Baylor Orthodontic Alumni Association and was a part-time instructor at the Baylor Orthodontic Department in Dallas. He received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from Baylor Orthodontic Department. He prided himself on keeping his craft current; upholding the quality and integrity of the highest industry standards.
Dr. Mike held memberships in the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Dallas County Dental Society, and the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Mike has served on the board, and been President of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists, Southwest Component and the Charles H. Tweed Orthodontic Group of Texas. He was a five-time winner of the prestigious A.P. Westfall Award for outstanding clinical orthodontics in the Tweed Organization.
