Lea Allbaugh - Hygienist

Lea graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Science and Dental Hygiene degree in 2006. She loves to help others understand the importance of oral health and its connection to a person's overall health and enjoys researching new advances in dentistry and health.  She thinks it is important to make patients feel comfortable and at ease. Lea believes in patient education during all treatments.  She is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and the International Association of Orofacial Myology. 

Lea is also a myofunctional therapist and owner at Orofacial Myology of Iowa. Orofacial Myology is the study and treatment of oral and facial muscles as they relate to speech, dentition, chewing/bolus collection, swallowing, facial growth and overall mental and physical health.  Find Orofacial Myology of Iowa on Facebook, as well as contact information. 

Lea has been married to her husband Chris for 13 years. They have two children, Hailey, age 11 and Harrison, age 9. In her free time, she enjoys nutrition and fitness, spending time with her family, church and reading.
