How CEREC Works
CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. CEREC utilizes both computer-aided design (CAD) and computer aided manufacturing (CAM) technology to create new ceramic crowns in one day. This technology takes a 3D digital image of the damaged tooth. That digital image manufactures the custom ceramic crown within the CEREC milling unit.
