Meet The Doctors

Meet Dr. Dorienne Taylor-Bishop

Many times, the first words out of a patient’s mouth are, “I’m so afraid of the dentist!” I pride myself in making even the most anxious patients comfortable in my chair. By putting a person at ease, through taking time to listen to and understand their worries and desires, I can provide them with the best care. In turn, this helps the person focus on their health and well-being.

As a dentist, I love working one-to-one with patients. The work I do impacts all aspects of my patients’ daily lives: whether I am getting someone out of immediate pain, educating a person about their oral and systemic health, or giving a person the ability to smile with confidence, I come into the office excited about the day ahead!

I truly enjoy being on the same team as my patients. Rather than dictating treatment, we work together to find solutions. Once I have educated a patient about their conditions, explaining what I’ve found in their exam and through diagnostic imaging, we discuss treatment options and decide, together, how to proceed. In doing so, we fix the issues that are present and can prevent future problems. Seeing each person’s improvement in oral and overall health, from visit to visit, is extremely rewarding.

It is important to give back to and support our community.

I love cooking and dancing. When I’m not in the office, you’ll often find me cooking up something in my kitchen or exploring the MD/DC/VA food scenes with Dr. Bishop.
