American Cancer Society's new guidelines recommend Colorectal Cancer screening start at age 45

The new guideline recommends that adults at average risk for colorectal cancer start regular screening at age 45. New data shows rates of colorectal cancer are increasing in younger populations. The guideline were updated to save more lives by detecting and removing polyps to prevent colorectal cancer, and by finding colorectal cancer early when treatment is more likely to be successful. Details about the new guideline and additional resources can be found on cancer.org & ACS Press Release
