Dr. Rand Luka graduated from the University of Baghdad in 1999. He comes to us with eight years of experience, some of those in a hospital setting. From this experience, he brings with him set of well-rounded dental skills including a personal interest in surgery.

Dr. Luka and his family fell in love with the city of London the moment they moved to the city to attend UWO. They decided that this was a wonderful city to raise their two children. Dr. Luka attended and graduated from the ITD DDS program at Western University in 2013, where he was also awarded the “Dr. Glenn Walker Award” for demonstrating a high level in academic achievement, leadership, interpersonal and clinical skills.

When not practicing dentistry Dr. Luka values and enjoys family time with his wife and two children. He also likes playing soccer, both on the field and in video games, and he enjoys all types of music. Dr. Luka even plays a little saxophone, pan flute and keyboard.

Dr. Luka is a member of the Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, and the London and District Dental Society.

Dr. Alyson Kohlmeier was born and raised in Sarnia, Ontario. She was a student at St. Patrick's high school where she received an athletic scholarship to the University of Michigan.

While at University of Michigan, Alyson competed for five years as a member of the cross-country, indoor and outdoor track and field teams. Dr. Kohlmeier was named an espn academic all-american as well as sophomore athlete scholar (2006) as a wolverine. She won several big ten conference titles and was a two-time all-american. Her running career also included representing team canada on multiple occasions.

After graduating from Michigan with a bachelor of science, she was accepted to the Schulich school of dentistry at the University of Western Ontario. During dental school, as a colleague of Dr. Luka's, Dr. Kohlmeier received the centennial orthodontic & pediatric dentistry award and the canadian academy of periodontology award. Upon completion of her dental degree, she began a one-year advanced education of general dentistry residency at case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. This residency program focused on treatment planning and comprehensive care.

Dr. Kohlmeier moved back to London in 2014 and has been practicing dentistry in the community for the past five years. She joined Dr. Luka and his caring team in january 2019. Besides dentistry, she enjoys physical fitness, golfing, cooking and traveling. Dr. Kohlmeier looks forward to meeting all the wonderful patients at Luka Dental Care in the coming months.
