Chemical Peels
Buckeye Dermatology offers a variety of medical grade chemical peels to correct various skin conditions such as acne, comedones (plugged pores), and uneven skin tone. Peels offered include TCA (trichloroacetic acid), salicylic acid, and retinoic acid.
Microdermabrasion Treatment
Microdermabrasion is a powerful, non aggressive treatment that exfoliates the top layers of the skin without chemicals. The procedure expedites the natural process of epidermal cell regeneration and improves skin texture and tone. Excellent for smoothing scars from acne. Treatments can be repeated once a week with a series of 3 to 6 sessions recommended.
Micro Pore Cleansing Facial
Treatment is designed to cleanse pores and stimulate skin to get a healthy glow. Face is steamed during a neck and shoulder massage, followed by extraction of debris from pores. A facial massage follows and a custom mask completes this relaxing treatment.
Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is mechanical exfoliation as opposed to chemical or enzymatic exfoliation. The top layer of the skin is gently exfoliated while simultaneoulsy removing facial hair. This procedure enables optimal product absorption. It dramatically and instantly improves the texture of skin by removing the top layer of dead skin cells very evenly and triggers speedier cell turnover. This procedure can be a stand alone treatment or combined with a chemical peel or facial.
