70-year-old lady from Pickering had minimally inavsive bunion surgery

On April 21, 2014, a lovely patient came to my office for a checkup of her right foot. I did right bunion surgery for her in September of 2013. She is doing quite well.
We also looked at her left foot. I did bunion surgery on the left foot 13 years ago. She is very happy with it. Below is a picture of the left foot prior to bunion surgery 13 years ago. The after pictures were taken on April 21, 2014. As you can see, there is no sign of recurrence of the deformity.
This is an example that shows that most people who have minimally invasive bunion surgery will acheive permanent correction. Although there are no guarantees, and previous successes do not guarantee future successes, the vast majority of people who have minimally invasive bunion surgery do not experience recurrence. This is due to the fact that, in addition to removing the bump, I also realign the first metatarsal to reduce the forces that caused the bunion in the first place.
