Another bunion surgery blast from the past
posted: Apr. 09, 2014.
Today a lovely 74-year-old lady came to my Toronto podiatry office from Orillia, Ontario to have her left bunion treated with minimally invasive.
I did her right bunion surgery in my Toronto podiatry clinic in April 1998. Fourteen years later, it was time to do the left foot.
Once again, using minimally invasive surgery, with local anesthetic, I removed the bump, made the first metatarsal straighter to minimize the chance of recurrence and I also made the great toe straighter.
As you can see from the photographs, the right foot shows no signs of recurrence after 14 years. Compare it to the photograph of the left foot which was taken today, just before surgery.
If you, or someone you love, suffer from bunions or other foot problems, please call my Toronto foot clinic at 416-486-9917 to see if you are a candidate for minimally invasive foot surgery.
