Philip Wells embarked on a nationwide barefoot walk across the country of England in order to raise awareness and funds for three charities. The three charities consist of: the Born Free Foundation, the Consortium for Street Children, and Ocean Stars Trust. All three charities strive to provide aid for disenfranchised children in poverty worldwide. Although Wells had to deal with blistersand sores on his feet, Wells knew he wanted to complete this journey.
“People are sending in ‘foot selfies’ and generously donating as I walk. Despite struggling with my feet, I am determined to continue and raise awareness for the children who suffer every day of their lives.” Wells says. Wells endures this walk in the name of the children who are forced to walk barefoot everyday due to poverty.
