Originally from Rapid River, Michigan, Dr. Brett is a proud Upper Peninsula native who completed his undergraduate studies in Biochemistry at Northern Michigan University. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the University of Michigan. After dental school, he served in the U.S. Army for three years, providing dental care to service members and their families.
Dr. Brett is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care in a welcoming and comfortable environment. He values building lasting relationships with his patients and is committed to helping them achieve and maintain lifelong oral health.
Outside of the office, Dr. Brett enjoys spending time with his wife, Addie, and their son, Owen. A true sports enthusiast, he’s a big fan of Michigan football and Detroit Lions football.
Dr. Betsy brings a wealth of experience, compassion, and dedication to our practice. Originally from various towns across Maryland, she discovered her passion for healthcare early on, always knowing she wanted a career that allowed her to help people. It was her orthodontist who first encouraged her to consider dentistry — a suggestion that ultimately led her to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry.
Throughout her career, Dr. Betsy has remained committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care with a gentle and thoughtful approach. She is especially passionate about building lasting relationships with her patients and helping them feel comfortable and confident in their dental health.
Dr. Betsy is married to a fellow dentist and together they share a close-knit family that includes two children and three wonderful grandchildren. When she’s not in the office, her favorite way to unwind is walking along the beach with her golden retrievers — soaking in the peaceful moments and natural beauty of the shoreline.
With her depth of knowledge, friendly demeanor, and heartfelt dedication to her patients, Dr. Betsy is a valued and trusted member of our dental team.
Originally from L’Anse, Michigan, Dr. Lauren began her studies in Microbiology and Health and Nutrition at Northern Michigan University before earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of New England College of Dental Medicine in Portland, Maine.
Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her new puppy, Higgins. She loves being out on the water — whether boating, waterskiing, or fishing — and takes full advantage of the Upper Peninsula’s beautiful outdoors. Traveling to and exploring new places are also among her favorite pastimes.
Dr. Lauren is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered dental care in a welcoming environment. She takes pride in building lasting relationships and helping every patient achieve a healthy, confident smile.
Kelly is our longest-serving dental hygienist and a cornerstone of our Washington Dental team. Originally from Bay City, Michigan, she made Marquette her home in 1985 and has been dedicated to providing gentle, thorough dental care ever since. She earned her degree in Dental Hygiene from Delta Community College and brings many years of experience, compassion, and professionalism to every patient she sees.
Kelly has been married to her husband Jack for 38 years, and together they have two daughters, Kara and Whitney. Outside the office, Kelly enjoys gardening, traveling, home workouts, and spending as much time outdoors as possible — especially during the summer. You’ll often find her at the beach or taking nightly walks with her dog, Nyla. She also cherishes quiet evenings relaxing at home.
Over the years, Kelly has especially enjoyed getting to know families and watching children grow up in our practice. With her friendly nature and long-standing commitment to patient care, Kelly helps make every visit to our office a positive experience.
Originally from St. Clair Shores, Michigan, Tina moved to Marquette in 2009 after also spending time living in New Hampshire and Chicago. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1995 and has been passionate about helping patients maintain healthy, beautiful smiles ever since. Known for her warm personality and positive energy, Tina truly brightens every patient’s day — and their smile.
Outside of the office, Tina enjoys traveling, biking, skiing, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and their dog, Oliver. She loves building connections with patients and making their dental visits both comfortable and positive.
Born and raised in Harvey, Michigan, Ashlee is a 2024 graduate of Ferris State University with a degree in Dental Hygiene. From an early age, she knew dental hygiene was the right path for her. Ashlee is passionate about helping patients maintain excellent oral health through compassionate care and personalized treatment, always striving to make each visit a positive experience.
When she's not in the office, Ashlee loves spending time outdoors — whether it's fishing, hunting, or relaxing at camp. She also enjoys staying active and cherishes quality time with her family and friends.
Originally from Marquette, Michigan, Clare is the newest addition to our hygiene team at Washington Dental. She earned her degree in Dental Hygiene from Ferris State University and is passionate about helping patients achieve and maintain a healthy smile. Her gentle approach and commitment to patient comfort help create a welcoming experience for everyone she sees.
Outside of the office, she enjoys gardening and spending time by Lake Superior with her two Labrador Retrievers, Mabel and Maya.
With over 42 years of experience in the dental field, Beth is a true veteran and a deeply valued member of our Washington Dental team. Originally from Marquette, Michigan, she has spent her career committed to providing exceptional patient care and finds great joy in helping others feel comfortable and cared for during their visits.
Beth’s compassionate nature and dedication shine through in every aspect of her work. She loves building relationships with patients and takes pride in creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels at ease.
Outside of the office, Beth enjoys spending quality time with her husband Don, their two children, and five grandchildren. Whether she’s cheering on her grandkids at their activities or enjoying sunny days on the beach in Fort Myers, Florida while visiting family, Beth cherishes time spent with loved ones. Her years of experience, nurturing personality, and commitment to patient care make her an indispensable part of our practice.
Adrianna is a proud Yooper, born and raised in Negaunee, Michigan. Inspired by the positive experiences of friends and family in the dental field, she developed a strong interest in dentistry and took the first step toward her career by attending the Weekend Dental Assistant School in Appleton, Wisconsin. Since completing her training in 2023, she has been working as a dedicated and detail-oriented dental assistant.
In addition to her work in the dental field, Adrianna has served in the Michigan Army National Guard since 2019. She holds the rank of Sergeant and operates heavy equipment as part of her role — bringing a strong work ethic, discipline, and focus to everything she does.
Outside of the office, Adrianna enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and curling up with a good book. Her friendly, approachable nature and commitment to patient care make her a valued part of our Washington Dental team.
Originally from Houghton, Michigan, Tawna is an essential part of our team and especially enjoys assisting with our same-day crown process and running our social media platforms. Growing up in a family of nine siblings, she developed a strong sense of care and teamwork early on, which naturally led her toward a career in healthcare and helping others.
Tawna enjoys connecting with patients and is always eager to learn new skills and expand her knowledge in dentistry. Outside of the office, she loves spending time with family and friends, soaking up beach days on the water, and traveling whenever she can.
Diane’s hometown is right here in Marquette, Michigan. Diane has been an essential part of the Washington Dental team for over 37 years. A 1988 graduate of Northern Michigan University, she brings years of experience, organization, and dedication to her role as Office Manager. Her deep knowledge of the practice and commitment to patient care make her a trusted and familiar face to both new and returning patients.
Outside of the office, Diane enjoys spending time with her family and two children, Allyssa and Drew. She enjoys drawing and painting, and especially loves traveling to Wisconsin to spend quality time with family and granddaughters, Brooklyn and Bella.
Theresa has been a valued member of the Washington Dental team since 2003. Originally from Republic, Michigan, she graduated from Northern Michigan University and brings years of experience, compassion, and dedication to her role in the front office. Patients appreciate her calm and caring nature, as well as her commitment to making each visit as easy as possible.
Outside of the office, Theresa enjoys yoga, running, and spending time outdoors. She loves sharing her life with her husband, Matt, and their son, Austin, and cherishes time spent with her extended family.
Born downstate and raised in Marquette, Christina joined the Washington Dental team in 2023. She holds a degree in General Biology from Franciscan University of Steubenville, along with a minor in Writing. Patients know her as a pleasant, calming voice when they call, and as a helpful source of information at each visit. If you have a question, she will find the answer for you.
When not at the office, Christina can often be found helping her husband at his game store downtown. She enjoys reading, singing, and especially evenings spent cuddling her guinea pig.
Alayna is from L’Anse, Michigan, she recently graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Health and Society. She is currently taking a gap year as she prepares to apply to dental school, bringing both enthusiasm and fresh insight to our practice.
Alayna is a proud member of the Society of American Indian Dentists (SAID) and is deeply committed to using her future career in dentistry to improve access to care in underserved communities. Her dedication to service and passion for oral health make her a valuable part of our patient-centered team.
Outside of the office, Alayna enjoys learning to play the guitar and is currently teaching herself how to bead traditional Native earrings — a reflection of her creativity and cultural pride.
