Melanie Hamilton is a Certified Physician Assistant who joined the practice in 2021. A native of Bartlett, she joins the practice with over 9 years of experience in the dermatology field. She received her Bachelor of Science from Mississippi State University in 2004 and went on the obtain her Physician Assistant degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2006.
Mrs. Hamilton is licensed by the State of Tennessee as a Physician Assistant and is certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and Memphis Dermatology Society.
Mrs. Hamilton practiced as a physician assistant in both neurosurgery and dermatology for nearly 14 years prior to joining Mid- South Dermatology. Her passion for the physician assistant profession began at MSD, where she was a patient as a child. Melanie and her husband, Chris, are the proud parents of a son, Cal, and a daughter, Libby. She enjoys spending time with her family, attending Mississippi State sporting events, and playing tennis.
