Dr. Chopra began his dental career at the University of Western Ontario where he graduated in 2000. Following his first year of practice, Dr. Chopra continued to build on his dental education by completing a dental residency at the Medical College of Ohio Hospital. From Ohio, Dr. Chopra moved on to further his hospital surgical experience in Brooklyn, New York. He worked within the North Brooklyn Health Network Hospital system. Dr. Chopra then went on to complete a mini-residency program at the prestigious Misch International Implant Institute. He has since been designated as a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Chopra is actively involved in the continuing education community and is a member of various organizations, including the Canadian Dental Association, the Halton Peel Dental Association, the Toronto Implant Institute, the Frank Spear Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education, the Academy of General Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. He is licensed to practice in Canada as well as most of the United States.
Dr. Chopra has completed extensive hours of additional training in the areas of oral surgery, periodontics, and implantology. He regularly attends numerous continuing education courses every year and has a special interest in the comprehensive rehabilitation of the complete dentition. Dr. Chopra routinely performs implant procedures, gum and bone grafts, sinus elevation surgeries, complex endodontics, and impacted wisdom teeth removals, and has been published numerous times in scientific journals for his work. Dr. Chopra places great emphasis on being an honest, gentle, and caring dentist who treats his patients, and not just their teeth. He passionately believes in direct patient education and does all complimentary consultations personally, taking the time to answer all questions and explain options completely to prospective patients.
Dr. Chopra is happily married to his beautiful and loving wife, and is a dedicated father of three wonderful little boys. When away from the office, you will find Dr. Chopra on the basketball court, at the gym, or travelling around the world with his family. Although Dr. Chopra will always tell you that he IS living his dream job, you may find it interesting that his secret dream is to be a part-time chef! One will often find him preparing a lavish meal at home for his family or dining at a trendy restaurant, making notes on a new dish he can experiment with.
