Shigeko O. Lau, M.D.

Dr. Lau is a highly experienced physician and a long-standing member of the pediatric medical community. She completed her medical education at the University of Michigan Medical School, and went on to do her internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota. She also completed a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology-Immunology at the university.

Dr. Lau is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both General Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. Prior to transitioning to private practice in 2005, she worked at Straub Clinic & Hospital. She has hospital privileges at Straub Clinic and Hospital, Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children, and Queen's Medical Center. She has held numerous positions on various boards of directors as well as served as chairperson of many committees. She is also a recipient of a number of grants. Dr. Lau enjoys teaching medical students and residents and has a history of many community service activities.

Dr. Lau loves getting to know her patients as well as guiding families to maintain children's health. She has two grown children. She is currently accepting new patients and is looking forward to building new relationships with them.
