Pap Smear

A pap smear is a cervical cancer screening that is done during a pelvic exam. Your provider will take a small brush like device that sweeps across the cervix, located at the back of your vagina, collecting a small sample of cervical cells. These cells are sent off to the lab to be analyzed for abnormalities such as cancer or precancerous changes, and your Provider will contact you with results and any next steps.
