What to Expect During Laser Hair Removal?

Just prior to the procedure beginning, the targeted hair will be trimmed to only a few millimeters above the skin. Then, a numbing medicine is applied to reduce the sting to your skin that the laser can cause. Depending on where the treatment is being done and the type of laser used, both you and Dr. Moss or another member of the team at Moss Dermatology will need to wear eye protection. Once the procedure is complete, you may be given discharge instructions to use ice-packs, cold water, or anti-inflammatory lotion to reduce inflammation and any discomfort.
