In response to growth and demand for digestive health services, GI Associates is pleased to announce plans to build a new facility in Stevens Point.
“GI Associates has provided digestive health services in Stevens Point since 2006,” stated Dr. Benjamin M. Schneeberger, spokesperson for the group. “Demand for digestive health services in the area is growing. Our group has added new physicians and advanced practice providers, and we simply need more space to provide care locally.”
The new facility will house a clinic and procedure center. It is expected to open in mid- 2022.
“For nearly 30 years, GI Associates physicians and advance practice providers have provided care in regional locations including Eagle River, Woodruff, Rhinelander, Antigo, and Steven Point,” stated Dr. Christopher A. Young, GI Associates President. “Our patients have told us how grateful they are to receive services from board-certified gastroenterologists in their hometown. Given the growth in demand and the ambulatory nature of most digestive health services, this expansion makes sense.”
GI Associates will also contribute to new jobs in Stevens Point. “At the new facility we anticipate adding new providers and up to 10 new staff positions including certified medical assistant, registered nurse, and medical reception roles,” stated Krissy Rodewald, GI Associates Human Resource Director.
GI Associates is accepting new patients in all of its locations. No referral is needed.
