Josephine “Joy” Salumbides, DDS
Dr. Joy Salumbides grew up in Virginia Beach, VA. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she earned both her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at the School of Dentistry, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Salumbides furthered her dental education and completed a one year General Practice Residency in York Hospital, south central Pennsylvania. Her advanced training focused on comprehensive and holistic treatment of patients of all ages, complex restorative dentistry, and emergency dentistry.
Dr. Salumbides enjoys family and cosmetic dentistry and values patient education and prevention in order to maintain good oral health. Her philosophy is to treat patients like family, with the goal of fostering lifelong relationships and placing patient comfort a priority. She believes dentistry is a service for others and actively volunteers at the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic and various Mission of Mercy Dental Projects throughout Virginia.
Dr. Salumbides and her husband dream of traveling the world with their baby girl. Most weekends they can be found dining at the newest restaurants in DC. She looks forward to a good workout class and has a special interest in photography.
