Caffeine could reduce your risk of basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma

Caffeine could reduce your risk of basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma. Coffee and black tea that has caffeine are thought to support a natural cell death, called apoptosis, of UV damaged keratinocytes that if left unchecked can progress to non-melanoma type skin cancers. A recent study was published out of China supporting this observation also in the Chinese population as well. So enjoy that cup of black tea or your morning wake up Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks coffee!
