In fact, if you are 50 years old or older, you may be noticing an increase in skin tags. They occur in areas of friction. Some common spots we’ve noticed them are around the neck and under arms. Skin tags are genetic and obese people might notice large quantities of them.
Skin tags could pop up individually or in a small group. Although they are harmless, you do run the risk of irritation, inflammation, and bleeding by keeping them. It might be tempting to try to remove skin tags on your own, however, we strongly advise against that. Doing so will open yourself up to the risk of scarring and infection.
