COVID-19 Updates

Our community has been through a lot over the past few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal lives. While the world has changed, our commitment to your well-being is unwavering.

Your health and safety has always been the top priority for our practice.   We strive to provide you a safe and comfortable environment. Below is a list of procedures that our practice follows to keep you safe.

Our office follows all health and safety practices recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the New Jersey State Board of Dentistry. In doing so, we have implemented the following practices to optimize your health and safety under our care:

  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office as well as having your temperature taken with a forehead scanner before your appointment.
  • You will notice we have installed plexiglass around our front desk to limit close contact between patients and personnel.
  • We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
  • You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children ’ s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you ’ re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
  • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.  You will see we have removed half of our waiting room chairs.
  • We ask that only appointed patients and one guardian (if patient is a minor) enter the practice at a time.   Large families cannot be accommodated at this time.
  • Please wear a face covering (mask) when entering and moving about the practice until our staff assures that it can removed in the specified treatment area.

There are also many unseen modifications that we have added to further protect the safety of our patients and staff.   We have always followed ADA, CDC and OSHA guidlines in reference to maintaining the sterility of our equipment and environment but we have now added a ultraviolet germicidal system to our central HVAC unit and individual medical grade air filtration units, each  with HEPA filters and ionizers,  have been placed in each treatment room to remove dust, pollen, mold,  bacteria and viral carriers that you cannot see.

We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you safe.  We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back to our office.
