FAQs

Drs. Marciano and Schwalb and their professional staff at Dentistry by Design are passionate about educating others about healthy tooth care. Please find below a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about dental care.

Q. Will the procedure be covered by my insurance?
A. We will make every effort possible to maximize what your insurance company will cover. The treatment plan you receive at the end of your initial appointment will estimate your insurance coverage and your personal responsibility.

Q. Do you offer payment plans?
A. Yes. We offer flexible financial arrangements. We also offer Care Credit to help make your dental treatments more affordable.

Q. How long will I be in the office?
A. We attend to one patient at a time. Appointments are scheduled based upon an estimate of each patient’s individual needs.

Q. Will it hurt? What should I expect after my appointment?
A. We use state-of-the-art methods to minimize any discomfort. We offer sedation dentistry to make you feel more relaxed in case you experience anxiety about your visit. Drs. Marciano and Schwalb will discuss any procedures and answer your questions before performing any work.

Q. Can I drive after my appointment?
A. Driving after an appointment is typically not a problem. On occasion, medication administered for relaxation or as part of your treatment will inhibit your ability to drive. In these cases, you will be advised in advance to obtain a ride to and from our office.

Q. Do you offer non-metallic restorations?
A. Yes. Depending on your dental needs, we offer non-metallic as well as metallic restorations, which Drs. Maricano and Schwalb will be happy to discuss with you.

Q. Do you offer cosmetic dentistry?
A. Absolutely! We offer tooth whitening, crowns and bridges, veneers, dentures and more. Please see our Cosmetic Dentistry page for details. Feel free to ask to see our photos, as we are very proud of our doctors work.

Q. Is your office Handicap Accessible?
A. We are committed to making our services accessible to all individuals. We had our offices built to meet the requirements set by the American Disabilities Act. We are located on the ground floor without any stairs and offer handicap parking and an accessible restroom.

Q. What precautions do you take for infection control?
A. We have made infection control a major priority in our office. Our clean and neat appearance is evident as soon as you walk through our doors. Our staff receives professional education annually on how best to sterilize our instruments, equipment and treatment rooms. Procedures are checked daily. Also, whenever possible, we use disposable products to further ensure cleanliness. You will literally be cared for in the same manner as our own families.

Q. Do you have emergency office hours?
A. In case of emergency, Dr. Marciano is available 24 hours a day.

Q. How do I get to your office? Where are you located?
