Sclerotherapy in a FDA approved procedure designed to treat small spider veins of the feet and legs. A solution (Asclera) is injected into the small veins, causing them to collapse and eventually become less apparent. Optimal results typically require 2 to 4 treatments spaced out four weeks apart. The discomfort from the injections is minimal and does not require anesthesia.
