Rami El-Yousef, MD

Dr. El-Yousef is the newest member of Valencia Pulmonary, having joined in August of 2019. He is board certified in Pulmonology and Internal Medicine. He is proficient in managing a wide array of Pulmonary diseases with a special interest in Lung Cancer Diagnosis and Management, Interstitial Lung diseases and Pulmonary Hypertension. Dr. El-Yousef performs various bronchoscopic and pleural procedures including endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), Thoracentesis and PleurX catheter placement.

In addition to seeing pulmonary patients in the clinic, Dr. El-Yousef also provides Pulmonary and Critical Care consultations at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital. He also serves as a member of the intensivist group providing 24/7 Intensive Care Unit coverage at the hospital.

Dr. El-Yousef received his undergraduate degree with honors in Chemistry with a minor in Biochemistry at Villanova University. He went on to complete his medical training at Ross University School of Medicine and graduated with high honors. Dr. El-Yousef completed his residency in Internal Medicine at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY where he also served as chief resident at the Brooklyn VA. He completed his training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the USC Keck Medical Center/LAC+USC Medical Center and served as one of the Chief Fellows in his final year.


Charanjit Saroa, MD

Dr. Saroa is one of the founding members of Valencia Pulmonary Medical Group and has been serving the Santa Clarita Valley for over 30 years, having moved to the area after completing his training at USC Keck Medical Center/LAC+USC Medical Center.

Dr. Saroa is board certified in Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep and Internal Medicine. He is an expert in managing a wide variety of pulmonary diseases with a special interest in chronic lung diseases such as asthma and COPD. Dr. Saroa’s expertise also extends to managing sleep disorders including sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, snoring, restless leg syndrome, and excessive daytime sleepiness, among others.

In addition to providing Pulmonary and Critical Care consultations at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, Dr. Saroa also holds multiple prestigious positions at the hospital including being the Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit, Chairman of the Critical Care Committee as well as being a board member of the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation.


Dr. Himanshu Wickramasinghe M.D.

Himanshu Wickramasinghe M.D.

Dr. Wickramasinghe is Board Certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at the Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital/University of Chicago hospitals and his fellowship training in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center and the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial VA hospital. He has been in medical practice since 2001 and has been with Valencia Pulmonary since 2007.

Dr. Wickramasinghe is the Medical Director of Pulmonary Medicine at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital. He sees patients with a variety of pulmonary and sleep disorders in his clinic and also provides consultations at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital on patients with critical care and pulmonary problems.


Dr. Himanshu Wickramasinghe M.D.

Chand Khanna, MD

Dr. Khanna started his practice of Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease here in the Santa Clarita Valley in July 1980. He completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Louisville in Kentucky, and his Pulmonary Disease fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Dr. Khanna is the founder of Valencia Pulmonary Medical Group and is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases. He is the first pulmonologist to start practicing in the Santa Clarita Valley as well as Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital. He has served as Chief of Staff and Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital. He has also served as the Director of the Department of Pulmonary Disease for nearly 20 years before stepping down recently and handing over the position to his partner Dr. Wickramasinghe.
