Many times a new patient will come into our office with a crown in a zip lock bag sharing their tale of "the crown that keeps coming off".   Coincidentally, it always seems to happen on the weekend or while on vacation!   Anyway, most of the trouble usually stems from the design of the crown or the material used. Crowns normally do not come off!  Most of the crowns that I placed over 20 years ago are still in service and are doing well. So, if a crown comes off, that spells trouble.  If you are one of our patients than you can attest to the durability of crowns. If you have a friend or relative that has dental work that is coming off, have them call us for an evaluation.  We can usually solve their problem quickly and easily.
