Three Rivers Dermatology is staffed by caring and giving experts, including Dr. Damon McClain, Dr. Susannah Berke, Molly McIntyre PAC, and Leah Greco PAC, a dermatology dream team serving Coraopolis & Pittsburgh, PA. If you've never visited a skin doctor before — far too many people haven't — we can help you by providing reliable and effective treatment. Here's what you can expect when you visit our center for the first time.
Medical History Discussion
Your visit starts with a medical history discussion that examines things like previous skin problems, current medications, and potential underlying issues. Your family history: we need to know! After all, your parents might have acne or skin problems, and knowing that can help us.
Then, we'll talk about any over-the-counter medicines that you're using. It's important to get accurate descriptions, so we might even connect with your primary care physician — know their name or number — so that we can get the insight we need into your skin concerns.
Skin Exam
Once we've finished your skin exam, our team at Three Rivers Dermatology (led by Dr. McClain and Dr. Berke) will ensure you get a comprehensive skin exam. Each dermatologist on our Coraopolis & Pittsburgh, PA, team understands potential problems, like acne, psoriasis, eczema, moles, and other imperfections.
Worried about suspicious moles? Let us know, and we'll help you by examining them and possibly removing them and testing them for cancer. Just as importantly, we'll help with acne, other rashes, and minor imperfections. All skin problems can be treated here; let us know, and we can get started on care.
Treatments (If Necessary)
Depending on your skin problems — they can be pretty diverse and tricky — you might need various prescriptions. Some people just need a skin lotion (rubbed over problem areas) to minimize rashes and outbreaks. Others might need prescription medications; the situation will vary for you.
In rare scenarios, you might also need surgery... that's typically if your mole is problematic or cancerous. Don't worry; we typically don't do same-day surgery (unless critically important) during visits. Instead, we'll talk with you, figure out what kind of care you need, and ensure that you're protected.
We're Here to Help!
With the help of Three Rivers Dermatology (including the skills of Dr. Damon McClain, Dr. Susannah Berke, Molly McIntyre PAC, and Leah Greco PAC), you can get the expertise of a dermatologist in Coraopolis & Pittsburgh, PA, who truly cares.
