Dedicated to providing comprehensive care that addresses the full spectrum of family medicine concerns, Pamela Abrams, MD, joined Family Practice Associates, PC, in Broomfield, Colorado, in 1993. She became owner of the practice in 2000. Dr. Abrams has served men, women, and families in her community. She currently sees patients from five years of age, through adulthood.
A Colorado native, Dr. Abrams graduated from the University of Denver with a bachelor’s degree in science and double minors in chemistry and piano. She then went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Colorado and complete her residency training in family medicine in Arizona at Phoenix Baptist Hospital.
Board-certified in family medicine, Dr. Abrams enjoys providing a full range of medical services, including adult men’s and women’s health care, general pediatrics, preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and performing minor dermatological and gynecological procedures. She’s especially interested in preventing heart disease and diabetes, with an emphasis on promoting proper nutrition and physical activity.
Dr. Abrams is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Colorado Medical Society. She’s also a member of the family medicine department at Avista Hospital and previously served on their medical education team for five years.
When she’s not with patients, Dr. Abrams enjoys spending time with her husband and family. She’s also actively involved with her church and pursues a variety of hobbies, including playing piano and getting plenty of exercise outdoors by hiking, swimming, and mountain biking.
