Beautiful & Serene Atmosphere
Our dental office is located on nearly 1/3 of an acre of nearly 30 species of natural prairie grasses and flowers that are all native to Olmsted County. As you enter our office, you will notice a breathtaking view of the Zumbro River and our prairie grass and wildflower garden through our large picture windows. We have soft music playing throughout for your listening pleasure and have a comfortable environment where you can feel relaxed and confident in the level of dental care you receive.
Welcoming & Child-Friendly Setting
Our friendly and helpful staff will warmly welcome you as you enter our office and help you get checked in. The modern reception area is designed with a custom-made Living Design bird aviary. Mostly African and New Zealand finches, comfortable seating and soft music will welcome you. There is a wide selection of magazines, close-captioned TV and a play area for children to enjoy while waiting.
We enjoy and welcome the opportunity to take care of your child. We look forward to establishing trust with each child and their parent(s) as we care for the little (and big) smiles in our office.
Special Amenities for Patients of All Ages
In addition to our child-friendly play area, we strive to cater to the needs of our senior and disabled patients as well. Our office has an easy, elderly-friendly access with no ramps or steps for easy entrance. We are in the heart of Rochester along the Zumbro River with plenty of ample free office front parking. We also have complimentary WiFi available and encourage you to log on while you wait!
When you first arrive you will be given a “Comfort Card” to fill out. Here you can place a request for items that will make your experience more comfortable. Items like office-provided lip moisturizer, an extra blanket if you get cold easily, laughing gas (nitrous oxide) if you are apprehensive and desire this very safe relaxational agent, headphones, mouthwash, dark-tinted safety glasses if bright lights bother your eyes. We invite you to utilize any of these available comfort preferences during an appointment.
Comfortable & Relaxing Treatment Rooms
The treatment rooms have been designed with your comfort in mind. From our ergonomic therapy chairs with adjustable headrests and extra headrest supports and warm blankets and shaded and clear glasses, we are confident you will be comfortable throughout your treatment with us. We also have nitrous oxide (“laughing gas”) available for our more apprehensive patients to help them relax during their visit.
Personalized & Professional Care
Your initial exam will last approximately one hour. This visit will help us get acquainted with each other and learn about your goals and desires for your dental treatment. We will work with each patient individually to develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to meet your specific needs and desires.
Honest & Open Communication
We believe that common sense dental care begins with open communication between our patients and our team. We promise to speak candidly with you about any symptoms present that may require further dental treatment, our diagnosis, alternative treatment options that may exist and the risks and benefits for such. We will speak to whatever simplistic or detailed level you desire. Rest assured that you will feel comfortable with our recommendation and your ability to co-author your care. We understand there may be difficult decisions regarding aspects of your care. Whether you have lost teeth by prior situations, or you have more detailed care that involves many esthetic decisions, or care that involves months if not years to complete – for more than 80 years, our practice has fulfilled this essential service.

Cost-Conscious & Affordable Dental Care
We don’t believe that finances should be an obstacle for achieving a lifetime of beautiful smiles. Dr. Haugen pursues many strategies to help you. It is not uncommon for him to pursue quality, affordable options that can be spread out over time and still achieve optimal long term goals. Also, multiple payment options are available, helping cost-conscious families select what is best for them. Such customizations are a bedrock of our practice.
Effective & Efficient Treatment
To best respect your time at the office, please refer to the new patient letter you will receive from the office. It will reference the relatively simple forms for your completion prior to coming to the office. If you prefer, you may also print your own forms with the reference below. If you are unable to complete the forms prior to your appointment, please plan on arriving early to the office so that completion can occur prior to your scheduled time with our clinical team.
Whether we look at your overall plan or anyone individual appointment, we promise to pursue using your time well. We will always strategize to accomplish therapy to minimize the number of trips to our office.
