February, 2012- The Ecuadent Foundation in conjunction with the Navy of Ecuador, teamed up the with the Hospital of Salinas (a public hospital) and The Navy Hospital of Salinas to conduct Ecuadent’s annual medical and dental missions. A total of 45 volunteers (20 dental / 25 medical) participated in this great effort. Children came from all over the country to be seen by our surgical team whereas our dental team mainly treated children from the Santa Elena Provence.
This was Ecuadent’s first time in this area and we can not stop saying great things about it. The medical team was fortunate to be working in a great community hospital. The hospital staff and surrounding community were nothing but accommodating to our volunteers. Our dental team was also very fortunate. They were able to work on the base of Ecuador’s Naval Academy. There, we also found the hospital and it’s staff to be very kind and accommodating.
We want to say thank you to volunteers and contributors who worked so hard to made this mission possible!
