Welcome to Our Practice

Dr. Cooks is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and has been practicing for over 25 years.  He completed an advanced mini-residency dedicated to the advancement of implants in dentistry and restores a variety of implants in his private practice. He is a member of the Better Business Bureau, the Bunting Periodontal Society (the oldest periodontal study club in the country) and is a valued participant of the statewide MOM (Mission of Mercy), which provides pro bono dentistry. He has also provided his dental services at no cost for the past 20+ years on Martin Luther King Day for the benefit of the local community.  Dr. Cooks is originally from the northwest side of Detroit and attended both Cass Technical HS and Wayne State University in the city.  His career includes many years in both private practice and hospital dentistry.  Dr. Cooks loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, canoe racing and all sports, including mixed martial arts. 

Maurice started with the practice in 2011.  He services as our IT and accounts receivable specialist.  Maurice enjoys reading, cooking, gaming, tweeting, good movies, and spending time with family & friends.

Tasha is a Registered Dental Hygienist and Registered Dental Assistant, with over 16 years in the field. She is a graduate from Wayne County Community College and Washtenaw County Community College. She enjoys educating her patients in all facets of oral hygiene, as well as enriching her own knowledge through continuing education. In her free time, Tasha likes to love on her family and friends.

Dashawne is an active duty Air Force veteran, enlisted as a Command and Control specialist. She has experience using computer information systems for flight following military aircraft and cargo; initiating notifications for emergency responses; and coordinating medical equipment repair. She has an Associates degree from Solano Community College in Liberal Arts. Dashawne enjoys serving in various facets of children’s ministry at church and listening to audio books. 

Ms. Carolyn has been with the practice since 2006.  She works closely with the daily operations and flow of the practice.  This would include accounting, customer service, banking, scheduling, human resources, legal issues, inventory control and staff support.  Ms. Carolyn enjoys exercising, cooking, volunteering and sharing with family and friends.
