Dental Staff

Dr. Paydar received his bachelors of science at the University of California, Davis. He then went on to the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS), Certificate in Periodontal Surgery and Masters in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences.

He enjoys all things dental-related including research and international dental aide. He has travelled to Jamaica, Haiti and the Dominican Republic to provide free dental services. He looks forward to continuing more of this important humanitarian work with his wife, Ashley, who is a practicing physician in Sacramento.

Dr. Paydar has many interests in dentistry including implant dentistry, soft tissue augmentations and various surgical procedures. He is an active member of American Academy of Periodontology, California Academy of Periodontics, and the American Dental Academy.

His area of research is in the use of platelet rich fibrin in bone healing. He has presented his research both locally and internationally – most recently at the Conference for International Association of Dental Research in Seoul, South Korea. He hopes to continue contributing to the advancement of periodontal research as well as integrating new technology and research in his own practice to better serve his patients.

Dr. Paydar has lived in Northern California since 1998 and returned to the Sacramento area in 2016 after almost a decade living in San Francisco. He loves Northern California, and spends his free time with his family hiking, paddle boarding, photographing the outdoors, trying new restaurants, and exploring the Sacramento area and beyond.

He and his wife recently welcomed their third daughter, Lily, in July 2022. She joins her big sister Lena and Flora and they all look forward to sharing their love of exploration and travel with the newest member of the family.

Dr. Zaiger received his Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and Physiology at UC Davis. While there, he shadowed a periodontist at the Folsom location of Golden State Dental Co, and this is where he discovered his passion for periodontics. 

“I love periodontics since it gives me an opportunity to make a difference in someone’s health and help them maintain their smile. My treatment philosophy is to incorporate gentle care and extensive patient education for each of my patients. Every patient has a unique set of needs and goals, and I enjoy working together with them to achieve their goals and improve their oral health” 

After graduating UC Davis, Dr. Zaiger went to the UCLA School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). While at UCLA, Dr. Zaiger was involved in a variety of extracurricular activities including organizing periodontal surgery workshops, giving lectures to predental students, and volunteering in the community to provide free dental care to underserved communities. 

Dr. Zaiger then went on to complete his Periodontics Residency at The Ohio State University. During his last year at OSU, Dr. Zaiger was selected to be the chief resident, a role in which he was responsible for teaching the residents and making sure the clinic ran smoothly. While he was chief resident, Dr. Zaiger also gave lectures and taught workshops to both the dental students and dental hygiene students on various periodontal topics. In addition to completing the residency program, he also received a Master of Science degree which included an extensive research project on gum grafting. Dr. Zaiger has presented his research at various conferences throughout the country and won first place at the Midwest Society of Periodontology Research Poster Competition. Dr. Zaiger enjoys all aspects of periodontics including implant dentistry, soft tissue grafting, and regenerative therapy. He is also an active member of American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Sacramento District Dental Society. Dr. Zaiger is very happy to be back in the Sacramento area since he enjoys spending his free time doing outdoor activities including camping with his Goldendoodle in the summer and skiing during the winter.

Dr. Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea. He resided in South Korea until 2009 when he moved to the United States for college. He graduated from the Santa Monica College with an AA degree in General Science and the University of California, Los Angeles with a BS degree in Biochemistry. He then attended the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry (UCSF), where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). After earning his DDS degree, Dr. Lee went on to the University of Washington to complete a Certificate in Periodontics and a Master’s Degree for research in microbiology.

He has devoted his professional career to all aspects of his specialty with an emphasis on treatment of periodontal disease, soft tissue management around natural dentition and dental implants, bone grafting, and maxillary sinus lifting. Dr. Lee’s love for Northern California has brought him back with the opportunity to practice in Sacramento. He spends his free time traveling, exploring the outdoors, and trying new restaurants. He embraces lifelong learning and wishes to continue attending educational courses to provide his patients with leading edge methods, procedures, and technology.
