Richard James, MD

Dr. Richard James

Dr. Richard James is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and has practiced dermatology for 22 years. Dr. James completed his Dermatology Residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. and a Mohs Surgery Fellowship at The Skin Surgery Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

Over the past 16 years, Dr. James has performed more than 15,000 Mohs surgery procedures and is an expert in skin cancer diagnosis, treatment, and reconstructive surgery. Dr. James retired from the United States Army as a Colonel in the Medical Corps, in July of 2013 after 24 years of active duty service.

During his time in the military, he served as a consulting Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon to the White House and the U.S. Capitol, a Flight Surgeon, academic faculty member at a Dermatology residency, and as Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Dr. James' last military assignment was as the Director of Tuttle Army Health Clinic at Hunter Army Air Field and Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon at Winn Army Hospital at Fort Stewart, Georgia.  

Dr. James serves in our Savannah, Brunswick, & Hinesville locations.  

Matthew J. Lucas, DO

Matthew J. Lucas, DO

Dr. Matthew Lucas is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and has practiced dermatology for 6 years. Dr. Lucas completed his Dermatology Residency at Naval Medical Center in San Diego.

During his active duty military career Dr. Lucas served as the Chief of Dermatology at Winn Army Community Hospital, Fort Stewart, Georgia and as a Battalion Surgeon at Camp Humphreys in South Korea.

He continues to serve in the Georgia Army National Guard as a Major in the Medical Corps.

He provides services for our patients in our Savannah, Brunswick, Hinesville, Statesboro , and Waycross offices.




Brandon Rowland, PA-C

Brandon Rowland, PA-C

Brandon Rowland, PA-C is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and has practiced as a Physician Assistant specializing in Urology and Dermatology for the past 13 years.

Brandon attended the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia for his undergraduate studies and completed his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia.

He was voted the 2019 "Most Outstanding Dermatologist of Bulloch County" by the community.

He provides services for our patients in our Statesboro and Savannah offices.
