WELCOME to Strait Smiles Family Dentistry Our doctors and staff enjoy working together in the friendly atmosphere of Belle Plaine, Minnesota. Our dental office provides complete dental services for people of all ages, and is especially interested in creating a positive dental experience for children who are visiting the dentist for the first time. The Strait Smiles Team Members consist of our hygienists, dental assistants, and front desk staff. From the moment a patient walks into the door of Strait Smiles Family Dentistry, the Team Members work together to help make the patient’s dental experience a positive and comfortable one. Not only will you see our smiling faces in the office, but you will see our Team out and about in the Belle Plaine community participating in various events.   • Dr.
    Tasha Strait
    DDS
    Family Practice

    Dr. Tasha Strait grew-up in Appleton, Wisconsin. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology, with a minor in Chemistry at Valparaiso University in Indiana. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Strait and her husband currently reside in Shakopee with their two sons. Dr. Strait enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family. She has a special interest in prosthodontics and pediatric dentistry.

    Monique Baune
    DDS
    Family Practice

    Dr. Monique Baune completed her undergraduate degree at Valparaiso University, Indiana followed by a Doctorate of Dentistry from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. Baune graduated in 1996, and then completed a general practice residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH. Dr. Baune relocated to Minnesota in 1997 where she worked in a group practice for several years before joining Strait Smiles. Dr. Baune currently lives in Eden Prairie with her husband and three children. Dr. Baune enjoys traveling, biking and family activities.

    Mora Cervenka
    DDS
    Family Practice

    Dr. Mora Cervenka grew up near New Prague, where she currently resides with her husband and two children. Dr. Cervenka attended the University of St. Thomas and received her doctorate from the University of MN School of Dentistry in 2002. Dr. Cervenka worked in a private practice before joining Strait Smiles. She enjoys working in the relaxed small town atmosphere of Belle Plaine! Dr. Cervenka likes many outdoor activities, gardening, and restoration of their 100 year old home and especially enjoys spending time with her children. Dr. Cervenka has a special interest in TMJ disorders, pediatrics and cosmetic dentistry.

    Registered Dental Hygienist

    Renee grew up in Belle Plaine. Renee earned her Dental Hygiene degree at Mankato State University. Renee has been with Strait Smiles Family Dentistry since 1996. She truly enjoys helping patients achieve and maintain their dental health, along with building patient friendships. Renee currently lives on a hobby farm near Henderson with her husband. They have four children. Her hobbies include reading, gardening and watching cross country races. 

  • Dina
    Registered Dental Hygienist

    Dina is originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario. She attended Normandale, where she graduated with her Dental Hygienist degree in 1996. She joined the Strait Smiles Family Dentistry team in March 2015. Dina enjoys working with her patients and helping them feel comfortable and confident with their smile. Dina and her husband reside in Maple Grove with their children along with their Teacup Yorky. When she's not working, Dina enjoys spin cycle classes, spending time with her family, traveling and attending her kids' sports events.

  • Angela
    Registered Dental Hygienist

    Angela grew up in Belle Plaine and received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Angela joined Strait Smiles Family Dentistry in 2006. She hopes that each patient leaves their appointment feeling confident they are on the right track towards a lifelong health smile. She and her husband live in Belle Plaine with their children and their dog . In her spare time, Angela enjoys painting and Tae Kwon Do.

  • Callie
    Dental Assistant

    Callie grew up in Cottage Grove and graduated from Herzing in 2009 with a degree as a Licensed Dental Assistant. She joined the Strait Smiles Family Dentistry team in April 2017. Callie's favorite and most rewarding aspect of her job is seeing a patient leave with a smile on their face. Callie resides in rural Henderson with her husband, their son and dog. She enjoys walking and going on road trips to new places. 

  • Dawn
    Patient Care Coordinator

    Dawn is originally from New Prague and resides in rural Belle Plaine with her husband and their children. Dawn has been at Strait Smiles Family Dentistry since 2001. Dawn enjoys interacting with patients at the front desk while providing outstanding customer service. Outside of work she enjoys doing craft projects, reading and spending time with her family.

    Patient Care Coordinator

    Monica grew up in rural New Prague and resides in Belle Plaine with her husband Chuck. They have three adult sons, Andy, Ryan, and Tony. Monica has been with Strait Smiles Family Dentistry since 1996. She strives to provide outstanding patient care whether it's answering an insurance question or scheduling an appointment for a patient. Monica enjoys sewing and spending time with her family.

  • Kathee
    Patient Care Coordinator

    Kathee grew up in Jordan and joined the Strait Smiles Family Dentistry team in March 2017. She finds the greatest reward is when a patient leaves the practice with a smile on their face. Kathee and her husband reside in Shakopee with their children. When she’s not working she can be found attending her children’s sporting events, reading or gardening.
