Dr. Hina Ali DMD

Dr. Hina Ali DMD was born in India and completed her first dental degree at the M.R. Ambedkar Dental College in Bangalore, the “Silicon Valley” of India in 1998. Her DMD was obtained at Boston University in 2005 and following this she completed post-graduate training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Montefiore Medical Center in New York. Soon after this, she trained in Periodontics at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2010 and this brought her to Richmond.

As part of her passion to hone her skills to the highest level she has worked in many varied areas of dentistry including Pedodontics and Implantology. Dr. Ali spent one year working exclusively with children at a nationally recognized dental practice and she was recently awarded with the prestigious fellowship in Implantology by the International College of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Ali is passionate about improving her skills and engages in regular, continuing dental education and in fact, prepares for every new patient like it was her first.

Dr. Ali is married to her husband of 20 years and they have a 10 year-old daughter who just started middle school at St. Catherine’s. Her husband is a psychiatrist and is chief of Psychiatry at Chippenham Hospital currently.

Other than her passion for excellence in patient care Dr. Ali is an avid philanthropist and involves herself in multiple charitable causes. When not in the office she loves the outdoors, is a fitness buff, enjoys time with her family, and loves to feel exhausted at the end of the day.
