Dental Staff

Dr. Wheeler completed his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Wofford College. He received his graduate degree in dentistry from the College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina with clinical awards in the areas of Prosthodontics and Endodontics. He is a member of the South Carolina Dental Association and the American Academy of General Dentistry, and he began his practice of General Dentistry in Saluda in 1976. Dr. Wheeler has 2 children, 2 step-children, and 7 grandchildren. During his spare time, you will find him on the golf course at Ponderosa Country Club or boat riding on Lake Murray.

Dr. Wheeler's office welcomes new patients by appointment and makes every effort to see them in a timely manner.

Robin Fulmer Crouch has been a dental assistant since 2012 and has been working at Saluda Smilemakers, Dr. Sam Wheeler’s office, since then.  She is a native of Saluda and is married with 2 children.  Robin enjoys going to the mountains and spending time with her family.

Denise Jones is a Registered Dental Hygienist and is the newest member of the Saluda Smilemakers team.  She has been living in Saluda for 30 years and is originally from Prosperity.  Denise graduated from Midlands Technical College and is state certified in administering infiltration anesthesia as well as nitrous oxide-conscious sedation.  She enjoys spending time on DIY wood projects with her husband and spending quality time with her family. 

Monica Gibson Bradley is a Registered Dental Hygienist and has been working at Saluda Smilemakers since 2003.  She is a native of Saluda and graduated from Midlands Technical College.  Monica is state certified in administering infiltration anesthesia as well as nitrous oxide-conscious sedation.  Monica is married and has 3 children.  She enjoys working in her yard during her spare time.

Sheree Shealy started her dental career as a dental assistant with Dr. Wheeler in 1976.  She now is an Office Coordinator working alongside the front desk, managing dental insurance as well as other tasks.  Sheree was born in New Braunfels, Texas, and moved to Saluda at the age of 7.  In her spare time, she loves relaxing at home with her 3 dogs, watching college football (especially the Gamecocks), and spending time with family and friends at Edisto Beach.

Kim Adams Wheeler is the wife of Dr. Sam Wheeler and is a Registered Dental Hygienist, Dental Assistant, and Office Manager at Saluda Smilemakers, Dr. Sam Wheeler’s office.  Kim is a graduate of Midlands Technical College and Warschaw Institute.  She is state certified in administering infiltration anesthesia and nitrous oxide-conscious sedation as well as dental office managing.  Kim has lived in Beaufort and Columbia, SC, and resides on Lake Murray.  She loves spending time with her 2 children, shopping, and boat riding on the lake.
