  • Dr.
    Safaverdi,
    D.D.S.

    Arash Safaverdi, DDS, MPH trained in dentistry at the University of Illinois in Chicago (UIC), completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin and spent 2 additional years of Endodontics specialization/certification at New York University (NYU). Dr. Safaverdi, who is a board eligible endodontist, also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology from the University of Umea in Sweden. He is passionate about public health and has years of experience practicing restorative dentistry prior to pursuing his endodontics specialty. Dr. Safaverdi also participates in outreach programs to provide care for the underserved communities in the United States and overseas

    Dr. Safaverdi and his wife, Ellie, live in Fairfield, CT with their two young children, Sam and Sofia. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities with his kids. He also enjoys trying different cuisines and restaurants.

  • Dr.
    Turek,
    D.M.D.

    Thomas Turek, D.M.D., a Connecticut native, graduated fromBoston College and earned his dental degree and certificate in Endodontics from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He has practiced endodontics in Waterbury since 1978. Dr. Turek is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a past president of both the Dental Society of Greater Waterbury and the Connecticut Association of Endodontists. He helped establish the Mentor Program at the School of Dental Medicine which enables dental students to spend time volunteering in dental offices to learn about private practices and continues to be affiliated with this program. Dr. Turek enjoys the company of his partners and staff in providing patient care of the highest quality. He has an interest in keeping up with the latest technology and the use of the surgical operating microscope. Dr. Turek enjoys volunteering to provide care for the underserved at the Connecticut Mission of Mercy.

    Dr. Turek's interests include flyfishing, running, the outdoors, sports, travel and history. Dr. Turek and his wife Jayne live in Woodbury and enjoy spending time with their daughters Lauren and Sara.

  • Dr.
    Filbert,
    D.M.D.

    Dr. Filbert is a native of Meriden, Ct and began her career in dentistry thirty years ago as a dental hygienist. She returned to dental school in 1993and graduated from The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 1997. After a one year general practice residency at St. Francis Hospital, Dr. Filbert moved to Downeast Maine where she was a partner in a general practice for five years. Her love for endodontics led her to return to Connecticut in 2004 to complete a three year post-graduate program in endodontics at UConn. She has been an associate at Endodontic Associates of Greater Waterbury since 2010.

    Outside of the office, Dr. Filbert enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, hiking, biking and fishing.







  • Dr.
    Alliger,
    D.D.S.

    Dr. Alliger was born and raised in Long Island, NY and has been practicing endodontics in Waterbury since 2003. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor. Dr. Alliger went on to receive his D.D.S. and graduated Cum Laude from The State University at Buffalo in 1998. He did his General Practice Residency at North Shore University Hospital in New York where he was asked to stay for a second year as Chief Resident. Following two years of practicing restorative dentistry, Dr. Alliger went back to school and received his certificate in endodontics at New York University. He is a past president of the Waterbury Dental Society.

    Dr. Alliger, his wife, daughter and son are very happy to have left the crowds of Long Island to make Connecticut their home. Outside of the office, he enjoys biking, hiking, poker and is a novice fly fisherman. Above all, Dr. Alliger enjoys spending time with his family most and spending countless hours in a fold up chair at his kids games.
