As a new patient at Arbor Dental Associates in Novi, MI, your first visit will provide the opportunity to learn more about our staff and dental practice while we take time to get to know you and understand your unique concerns and goals.

YOUR FIRST VISIT: WHAT TO EXPECT
Your initial visit with us will last approximately 90 – 120 minutes, allowing us ample time to assess your oral health, take necessary diagnostic imaging and consult with you on your dental health concerns and cosmetic goals.
Dr. Paulson is a Dawson trained dentist and will provide a thorough and comprehensive dental exam using the diagnostic wizard during your initial visit to our office. This process will evaluate the health of your teeth, gums, jaw joints and jaw muscles. If you have been suffering with an uneven or uncomfortable bite Dr. Paulson will seek to identify the cause and recommend appropriate treatment.
Before leaving, you will be given an office tour and your dental hygienist will discuss your personal oral hygiene habits. Your visit will include:
- Dental examination
- Diagnostic imaging: x-rays, etc. as needed
- Periodontal and oral cancer screening
- Occlusal analysis
- Consultation with Dr. Paulson
- Professional dental cleaning, if time allows
If additional restorative or cosmetic dentistry is recommended or requested, a follow up appointment will be scheduled before you leave.
