Dr.David Groat DDS
Dr. David Groat DDS grew up enjoying the dental field. With his father, Dr. Albert Groat DDS, as a prominent dentist in the Bay Area, he grew up understanding the dental business and the patient’s needs. He was born and raised in Fremont California and as he attended Bellarmine College Preparatory he worked at his father’s office in Fremont as a dental assistant. He later attended Santa Clara University for his Undergrad. Dr. Groat then graduate in 1985 at Creighton University Dental School in Omaha, Nebraska where he met his loving wife of 35 years, Terri Groat. Shorty after graduation, he co-authored “The Role of Dental Disease in Fever of Unknown Origin” which was published in Postgraduate Medicine. He later moved back to California and took over his father’s practice in Fremont and started his own practice in San Ramon in 1992. While managing both practices, Dr Groat had two wonderful children Elizabeth and Patrick and was well known pillar in the community. He was the Financial Secretary for the Knights of Columbus for 11 years and was and continues to be a part of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the San Joaquin Dental Society.
He has now moved his practices and family up to the magnificent Calaveras County. He took over the late Dr. Talbot DDS, practice in 2007 and loves being your neighborhood dentist. He currently enjoys walking his dog Cody with his wife Terri in Forest Meadows, golfing with his son Patrick on the weekends, and visiting his daughter Elizabeth in San Francisco.
