Mental Health Home Page

All of our providers (doctors, nurse practitioners and licensed social workers) are able to help with a diagnostic evaluation for depression, anxiety, or behavior concerns. ADHD concerns can evaluated by all of our doctors, Rachael Doll, FNP-C and our licensed social workers. Our licensed social workers can also provide counseling and crisis management for your child's mental health concerns once a diagnosis has been made. Medication prescribing for ADHD can managed by any of our doctors or Rachael Doll, FNP-C. All of our doctors and nurse practitioners can manage medication for anxiety or depression. If necessary, we are able to refer your child on to a child/adolescent psychiatrist for further assistance if your child's mental health needs are more complex.

In addition to our current licensed social worker, Kate Barnes, LISW-S, we are excited to welcome Katie Marples, MSW, LISW to the WSP team in September 2023! Katie is a licensed independent social worker with experience providing mental health services to children and families in school, community, and hospital-based settings. Both Kate and Katie will be providing mental and behavioral health services, as well as developmental screening and coaching at WSP. Call the office to schedule an appointment with either Kate Barnes, LISW-S or Katie Marples, MSW, LISW.

Both Kate Barnes, LISW-S and Katie Marples, MSW, LISW will submit a bill to your insurance company for the services they provide. Depending on your specific coverage, you will either be charged a copay or be billed for any balance not paid by your insurance (deductible and/or co-insurance). If you have Ohio Medicaid, the services will be covered. If you have Indiana Medicaid, your insurance dictates that you must receive mental health services inside the state of Indiana, and therefore will not be able to take advantage of this program. Because specific benefits differ among insurance plans, please call your insurance company and ask for coverage information for the billing codes (CPT codes) listed below.
