Is Invisalign really invisible?
Okay, so no orthodontic treatment is 100 percent invisible but Invisalign practically is. Instead of metal brackets and wires, Invisalign uses clear aligners that are customized to fit over your teeth. These transparent aligners aren’t noticeable. You can even snap selfies without having to remove your aligners (how’s that for cool?).
How long will it take to get results?
Each aligner is worn for about two weeks, which helps to gradually shift teeth into their ideal position over time. While these shifts are subtle, you will still be able to see them, which can be motivating to our patients to keep wearing their aligners as much as possible. Unless you are eating, drinking, brushing, or flossing, your Novi, MI, dentist Dr. Blavin will most likely recommend that you wear your Invisalign. Most people will require about 3-8 months of Invisalign treatment. Adults may see results a bit faster than teens.
How often do I need to see the dentist?
Since your dentist won’t need to tighten your aligners like they would traditional braces, this means that you don’t need to come into our office nearly as much for checkups throughout the Invisalign treatment process. You will typically come in every six weeks for a quick checkup to make sure that everything is progressing as it should and to answer any questions you might have.
