HAGLUND'S DEFORMITY IS COMMON PROBLEM FOR HOCKEY PLAYERS
posted: Feb. 09, 2020.
The Haglund's deformity seen in most athletes can be removed minimally invasively without the need for detachment and re-attachment of the Achilles tendon. The minimally invasive technique allows the patients to immediately weight bear following the surgery without the prolonged recovery seen with detachment and re-attachment in the traditional procedure. Mild to moderate retrocalcaneal heel spur is also amendable to minimally invasive techniques.
