THE RICHIE BRACE ARCH SUSPENDER
posted: Dec. 03, 2021.
The Richie Brace Arch suspender is a tool invented to provide control of the midfoot and hindfoot of the human foot. It is known to replace the traditional ankle foot orthoses (AFOs). It can be helpful in multiple pathologies and provide support and reduce pain. There are two suspenders: medial arch and lateral arch.
The medial suspender stabilizes the talo-navicular joint and is indicated in posterior tibial tendon dysfunction, charcot arthropathy, flat foot secondary to rheumatoid arthritis and severe overpronation.
The lateral arch suspender stabilizes the calcaneocuboid joint and is indicated in lateral ankle instability, charcot marie tooth, peroneal tendinopathy, cavus deformity.
