Brunswick Family Medicine is remaining watchful and proactive to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. This virus is highly contagious and suppressing its spread is the absolute top Priority. For the protection of all patients and our staff, and effective immediately, we are implementing the following protocols as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control:
- If you are exhibiting symptoms, such as fever or cough, or if you believe you may have been exposed to the virus, first CALL the office. If you need to be seen, we will ask you to contact us from the parking lot for further instructions. Out of extreme precaution, we CANNOT accept walk-in-visits or allow symptomatic patients into the waiting room at this time.
- As directed by the CDC, we will wear personal protective equipment when appropriate. Quest or LabCorp will process a swab test, if it is necessary.
Please protect your health by vigorous hand washing (for at least 20 seconds with soap and water), using hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol, avoiding crowds and gatherings, and limiting travel unless it is absolutely necessary. Those with underlying conditions can be more susceptible to infection, so share this information with family and friends.
