The University of Pennsylvania, Emory University, Duke University, Tulane University, New York University, and the Mayo Clinic are the leading national institutions at which our dermatopathologists received their dermatology, pathology and dermatopathology training. The experience and instruction received at these respected training programs has been invaluable in assuring diagnostic excellence of your patients’ specimens.
Experience
With over 90 cumulative years of dermatopathology experience, our physicians bring a wealth of clinicopathological understanding. This valuable experience in both clinical dermatology and dermatopathology is utilized daily in the interpretation and sign out of skin specimens.
Academics
All of our dermatopathologists have been active in academic dermatology and dermatopathology, especially in the education of dermatology and pathology residents. We continue to be involved in resident education. This academic approach is also apparent in our daily dermatopathology conferences in which difficult cases are shared and the most pertinent and accurate clinicopathologic diagnoses are rendered
Community
Community involvement is an important value for Finan Templeton Dermatopathology Associates, and we continue to be very involved in the private dermatology community. We have held leadership positions in the Atlanta Association of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery (AADDS) and the Georgia Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery (GSDDS). We also actively participate in the triannual meetings of the AADDS by regularly presenting dermatopathology findings of clinical patients.
